Amway Center cleanout after a packed event weekend
We got called to a property near the Amway Center right after a heavy event weekend, and the alley was already tight with parking cones, wet cardboard, and broken display materials. The morning air felt sticky, and the crew had to keep clear of foot traffic while the trash kept growing by the hour. We knew the building owner needed the debris gone before the next tenant move-in, because one blocked service lane in that part of Downtown Orlando turns into a real headache fast.
We rolled in a low-profile dumpster and set it where the driver could back straight in without boxing out deliveries. Our crew sorted bulky cardboard, wood scraps, and mixed event waste as we loaded, then we swept the lane clean before pulling out. We do that because downtown pickups live or die on access, and a messy exit causes the next problem. By the time we finished, the loading area was open again and the owner had one less thing to chase.
I didn’t have to worry about the mess anymore, and the dock was clear again by the end of the day.
